-About Us-

Dancing Deer Therapy and Training is committed to the whole well-being of horses and their human partners in the Rogue Valley.  Founded in 2005, the services provided are professional horse training, one-on-one riding lessons, and massage therapy.

Horse training packages include starting or restarting horses, ground training, and trail preparation.  One-on-one lessons focus directly on the relationship between horse and partner while building confidence, knowledge, and happiness.

The massage therapy focus is stress reduction, injury/illness rehabilitation, prevention and maintenance, and athletic performance.

Christa has lived in the Rogue Valley for 26 years and has been a horse lover since she was able to speak.  Over the years, she has owned several horses, most of which were rescued, rehabbed, and put back into loving and careing long-term family homes.  Knowing the benefits of holistic medicine and massage therapy, Christa sought education and certification to become a reliable bodyworker and teacher.  She also has a background in animal welfare, small business management, road cycling, and nutrition.

"Being able to combine my love for horses and wellness has been a wonderful journey.  Both these wonderful creatures and holistic medicine have given me so much and I just want to be able to give back to the community.  I enjoy being able to use my hands for a positive and healthful bridge for horse and partner, whether its navigating them through a trail pattern or aiding in better mobility and movement."

Christa currently owns a 14 year old breeding stock Paint gelding whom she loves to trail ride with all over the Cascade Mountains and pratice her massage techniques on.
